Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 November 2026
The Hundredth Fruit (the “game”) is made by Velunor LLC (“we”). We built it to be calm and private: there is no sign-up, no advertising and no tracking. This policy explains the little data the game uses and why.
Summary
- No account, no email address, no name is required to play.
- No advertising, no third-party analytics and no tracking across apps or websites.
- Your progress is saved on your device and in your own iCloud.
- Optional online features use a random anonymous ID. You can delete everything linked to it from inside the game.
Data stored on your device and in your iCloud
Your journey (chapters, Earth Fruits, album, photos you take in the game and settings) is stored on your device. If iCloud is turned on, your progress is also synced through Apple's iCloud between your iPhone and iPad. This data is held by Apple under your Apple Account; we cannot see it.
Anonymous ID
When the game is first opened it creates a random identifier that is not derived from your device, your Apple Account or any personal information. It is kept in your device's keychain and in your iCloud, so that your iPhone and iPad share it. We use it only for the online features below.
Optional online features
When your device is online, the game can talk to our server at api.hundredthfruit.com. It stores, linked only to the anonymous ID:
- Wish lights you place (chapter, position, shape and colour) and the greetings you give to other players' lights;
- a guardian name, only if you choose to set one (it stays private unless you choose to make it public);
- which care tasks you completed, counted once towards the shared progress of all players;
- reports you send about a light or a name.
The game also sends three anonymous counts about the paid unlock (reaching the last free chapter, seeing the unlock page, and buying). These are stored only as daily totals, with no ID of any kind.
To stop misuse, the server counts requests per anonymous ID and per network address for a short time. Network addresses are never stored: only a one-way hash that changes every day is used for this counter.
Everything in the game also works offline. If the server cannot be reached, the game simply continues without these features.
Deleting your data
In the game, open Settings and tap Delete my data. Your guardian name, wish lights, greetings and task records are removed from our server, and the game creates a new anonymous ID. Greetings you gave stay counted on other players' lights only as anonymous numbers. You can also write to us and we will delete the data linked to your ID.
Purchases
The full journey is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never receive your payment details or your Apple Account information. The game asks Apple whether the purchase is present on your account, including through Family Sharing.
Service providers
Our server and this website run on Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc.), which processes requests on our behalf to deliver them securely. Apple provides iCloud and the App Store. We do not sell or share data with anyone else.
Children
The game is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Guardian names are checked against rules and can be reported, and we review reports within 24 hours.
